Can I have cervical cancer without having HPV?

December 15th, 2011

Question by Lauralanthalasa: Can I have cervical cancer without having HPV?
I need to know, I am in a serious relationship but was cheated on in another relationship. I go to the doctor soon, but am really hoping someone can ease my mind. It is late and I can’t call my Health Department to see if they checked me for it, and will be doing this in the morning, but I need to know if it is possible to have these pre-cancer cells and NOT have HPV. My Beloved needs to know, I can’t keep that from him, because if I must have HPV to get mild dysplaysia, then he has it now. And I am scared.. I only found out about this three days ago, and have researched it, but cannot find this particular info. Thanx in advance.

no, you dont have to have the HPV to have abnormal cells. A high percentage of cervical cancer is caused by HPV but not all. I had abnormal cells and they said I did not have HPV in my system.

but that was a rather random question to post in women’s health. It might be better suited to political issues, perhaps . . . or something.

Q&A: there are 104 causes of cervical cancer and the vaccine only helps protect against 4, why bother?

December 14th, 2011

Question by lilpurpledog: there are 104 causes of cervical cancer and the vaccine only helps protect against 4, why bother?
One less… maybe, maybe not.

What if it makes TWO MORE with birth defects.

What if it makes some women sterile.

Its so new but being pushed on such young women and the benefits IMHO hyped…

4 out of 104 will give women the false safe feeling and wont get checked regular either…

What do you think?
Dont you think it will give women feelings of fasle saftey and they wont get checked as often and will have it worse by the time they do get checked?

I know what HPV is but I dont understand how this vaccine is so great.

It sounds dangerous to me.
The vaccine is only 4 years old, young girls and teens are getting tested and have not started having children yet.

And the people who have had children, how do we know we didnt mess up their fertility by messing with our female parts?

Just look at the chicken pox vaccine.. oops we have to give boosters cause people are catching it when they are 35 not 5 and dying.
IMHO people are sheep when it comes to vaccines and dont ask enough questions.

I have read about it and others and am amazed that the incodence of ADD, Autism and other odd childhood behavior problems have boomed since manditory vaccinations have been enforced.

It worries me that whatever is in there can backfire.

It is an early brake through and better then nothing. Unfortunately, we often find out later on that there is a problem with the vaccine are medication. There is no such thing as an exact science.Whenever you take any medication or vaccination there is chance of there being a problem. Time is the only way to know if it is effective and or a problem.

Australians Females Only!! About the Vaccine for Cervical Cancer?

December 14th, 2011

Question by ANON: Australians Females Only!! About the Vaccine for Cervical Cancer?
I just would like to know for mainly people who are seriously against needles.

Have you gone to get your cervical cancer vaccine and does it hurt. I know I need to get it done but have been avoiding it due to a needle going into my arm.

Best answer:

Answer by Alexis
noone likes needles, but this one is for your own good :)

before i got my cervical cancer needles i was told they hurt a lot, but i didnt find that they really did. i found the middle one the worst, i thought it hurt more when they put it in, but it wasnt too bad. and none of the needles hurt the way tetanus shots or similar hurt afterwards – once the cervical cancer ones are done they might hurt to touch for a little while, but they are fine and you should have full mobility in your arm.

its better just to get it over and done with :)

Q&A: Can having safe sex help prevent cervical cancer? What are the factors contributing in increase to this cancer?

December 14th, 2011

Question by Tiara A: Can having safe sex help prevent cervical cancer? What are the factors contributing in increase to this cancer?

Best answer:

Answer by Joe
There is no such thing as “safe sex.” That is a term invented by liberals.

Practicing sex within marriage and refraining from promusicuity are the factors in preventing most of it.

Now, the liberals want to inject girls with poison at a young age, those mad people.

Liberals believe in sex education headed up by their fellow misguided individuals, and so-called “safe sex” is based on the stupid notion that “kids are going to do it anyway whether you like it or not.”

This demonstrates why we must stop allowing people who don’t have any sense to infuence or rule or society.
